Efficiency and technology

Today I was notified of a blog post How to create a self-marking quiz using Google Forms via my Diigo account. Creating my own quiz is something that has intrigued me over this semester as our lecturer seems to like using quizzes as a tool for feedback. I have been putting it in the too hard basket and will look at that later pile in my mind.

This post reminded me of how since being made aware of this tool there has been several times where I have realised that it could be used to make certain processes around me more efficient. An example of this was when the Sushi Order Forms were collected for my daughters Term 2 School. It was done through paper, envelopes and cash. I have been looking at processes like that in a different light now with my new knowledge, wondering how I would go about setting up an online order process to collect data automatically rather than someone having to sit there tallying up all the orders and money.

I will learn how to do this…
